BAGO is an Asian Americana lifestyle brand built around one idea: stillness is a practice, not a mood. Every object we make, scent, leather, jade, is designed to be a small anchor back to the body.
WHAT DOES BAGO MEAN
BAGO started as a nickname. Long before it was a brand, it was what the people who loved me called me, a name that stuck through every version of who I've been, until it became the name I make things under.
We didn't set out to make a fragrance brand. We set out to make a ritual.
BAGO translates somatic practice, the work of coming back into the body, into something you could hold, wear, and burn. Scent became the entry point because scent moves faster than thought. One breath and you're already somewhere else.
Horses have been one of the biggest teachers in that translation. Long before I had language for it, I felt that kind of healing in their presence, the way a horse mirrors what's happening in your body before you've named it yourself, the way stillness with them isn't passive, it's earned. That relationship, between nervous system and instinct, between two bodies learning to trust each other, shaped how I understand healing, and it's still at the center of what BAGO is trying to bottle.
We don't ask you to arrive at stillness a particular way. We just make the door.
THE COLLECTIONS
Everything here comes from someone who came before me: my grandmother, the horses, my family's hands in Hong Kong. Their influence shaped how I create and what I make room for, strength, creativity, and a closer connection to nature and myself. Each collection carries a piece of that lineage forward.
BEGIN
Ritual, in five forms.
BEGIN was created with my grandmother, who raised me and shaped how I see the world. Long before I had language for somatic practice or ritual, I had her, and the quiet, repeated acts she used to mark a day: something lit, something worn, something washed. Tobacco leaf and jasmine lay over neroli and fir needle across the whole line, candle, eau de parfum, perfume oil, hand soap, dry body oil, so the same scent, and the same intention, travels with you across every form the moment calls for. Designed for classic conditioning, to help you return to a place of inspiration. Light the candle before you sit down to create, and over time, the scent alone will carry you back to the last time you did. Clean and warm, like a fresh canvas. This is where the practice begins, because it's where mine did.
CLUB
A community built on commitment, not just membership.
CLUB takes its name and its spirit from the country club, not the exclusivity, but the idea of it: a social community bound by shared values, a commitment to humanity, to thoughtful design, and to a real connection with nature. The belts, bags, dog collar, and throw pillow in this line carry that same structure and restraint, made for the people already living inside that ethos, not performing it.

SOFT is built on one idea: soft durability. Timeless, sophisticated, and approachable enough to move through every version of your week, the airport, a weekend away, the gym, the stables. Totes and pouches for your essentials with a relaxed hand and real structure underneath, designed to support how you actually travel through your days, not just how you look doing it.
CHARMED
An ode to a family of jade carvers.
CHARMED is a tribute to my family's legacy as jade carvers in Hong Kong, a house that created pieces for Tiffany & Co. and other storied names in fine jewelry. Fine jewelry set with green and lavender jade in baguette, pear, round, cushion, and trillion cuts, made to be worn as a daily talisman rather than saved for occasion. Every piece carries that craft forward, shaped in the same classic cuts as fine diamond jewelry.
PEOPLE AND PRACTICE
BAGO is built in collaboration, with makers, practitioners, and healers who bring the ritual to life beyond the product itself.
Eric Bonnin, ceramicist, designed the vessel for our collaboration BEGIN candle, a piece meant to be kept long after the candle is gone.
Ojai Essentials co-formulated our BEGIN Dry Body Oil, built on algae oil and meadowfoam seed oil, an extension of the same ritual into daily skincare.
Our BEGIN workshops, held in collaboration with SECONDHANDMethod and Unbridled Rising, bring the brand's philosophy into one space: practices that work through the body, and design, in the presence of horses. We pair different modalities for an unmatched experience, physical therapy in myofascial release, traditional Chinese medicine, sound therapy, and scent therapy, with aligned practitioners who carry our shared philosophies. Each workshop is a live version of what the products are designed to do alone: give the body a reason to stop.
